Meet Annmarie McHale ’06! Annmarie’s journey is a reminder that your career path doesn’t always have to follow the plan you imagined — sometimes, finding what you’re good at and having the confidence to pursue it can lead you exactly where you’re meant to be. After Fontbonne, Annmarie attended Curry College, where she earned a degree in Criminology and Political Science. Her career ultimately took her in a different direction, allowing her to combine her strengths in technology, relationship building, problem-solving, sales, and operations. Today, Annmarie works in merchant services and payment solutions, helping small business owners with point-of-sale systems, credit card processing, and business banking solutions. She is also a certified Hyosung ATM Technician and Sales Representative. Her connection to wellness began during her senior year at Fontbonne, when she made a promise to herself to prioritize her health. Years later, that passion came full circle when Annmarie and her sister — also a Fontbonne alumna — opened Nourish Lounge, a wellness and recovery studio. When Annmarie reflects on her time at Fontbonne, she credits her teachers with seeing strengths in her before she always saw them in herself. She especially remembers Dianne Pappafotopoulos, whose computer and web design classes helped spark the technology skills Annmarie uses today, and Maura Lamadore, her English teacher and guidance counselor, who consistently encouraged her and believed in her potential. Annmarie’s advice to today’s Fontbonne students says it best: “You don’t have to be the best student, the best athlete, or know exactly what you want to do with your life. Find what you’re good at, surround yourself with people who believe in you, believe in yourself, work hard, and don’t be afraid to create your owcrn path.” We’re proud to introduce Annmarie and share where her Fontbonne journey has taken her!
