FONTBONNE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Below, you will find an outline of the steps you will need to take to begin your Fontbonne journey, depending on which application you are seeking. At any time, you are welcome to reach out to our Admissions Team with any questions.


In order to apply for the 2025-2026 academic year, please select an option below.

  • 7th Grade

    We use Ravenna as our online application portal, which allows families to track their progress from inquiry to completion. Parents may open an account and start an application at Ravenna or may click the gold APPLY button on this screen. There is a $40 application fee, which is also collected online.


    All applications are due by January 14, 2026.  Any applications submitted after January 14th will be accepted on a rolling basis as space allows. 


    Here are the application steps:


    1.   Create an Application Account: Go to Ravenna-hub.com and choose Fontbonne.


    2.   Schedule Your Entrance Exam: All students applying for the Grade 7 are required to take an entrance exam. Applicants may take either of the two tests below. There is no preference given to any one exam type. Each exam has its own options for both in-person and remote testing. You are welcome to contact our admissions team if you have questions about these options.

    • Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE): This test is offered through the Educational Records Bureau (ERB). Students should take the Grade 7 Level exam. You may register for the exam here.  We offer the ISEE at Fontbonne on November 8 and December 6!
    • Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT): This test is offered through the Enrollment Management Association. Students should take the MIDDLE Level exam. You may register for the exam here

    3.   Submit School Records

    • Transcript from Grade 5 and Grade 6 (including report cards, attendance records, discipline records, and standardized test scores, if applicable) - Please utilize the Transcript Release form that is provided in the Ravenna application portal.
    • Teacher recommendations from current Math and current English teachers - Please utilize the Teacher Recommendation Request .

    4.   Attend an Admissions Event + Complete Your Optional Interview: Learn more about upcoming events here


    5. Submit Your Application and Forms: Please submit all requested application materials by our January 14, 2026


    Apply for Financial Aid (Optional)

    New students seeking enrollment in the 2025-2026 academic year who wish to apply for need-based financial aid should submit their applications, including their 2024 tax returns, to FACTS. The financial aid application deadline for new families is January 14, 2026. Visit the Financial Aid section of our website to learn more about financial options at Fontbonne and to submit a financial aid application.

    • High School Placement Test (HSPT): This test is offered by the Archdiocese of Boston. You may register for this exam hereFontbonne hosts two test dates for this exam, in November and December!

  • Transfer Students

    We welcome students seeking a new high school experience for Grade 8, 10, or 11. We also accept midyear transfer applications for Grades 7 - 11.


    Transfer applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the school year and summer as space allows. Please reach out to Admissions Office if you are interested in applying.


    Here are the application steps.


    1.   Create an Application Account: Go to Ravenna-hub.com and choose Fontbonne.


    2.   Submit School Records

    • Transcript from current and previous school year (including report cards, attendance records, discipline records, and standardized test scores, if applicable) - Please utilize the Transcript Release form that is provided in the Ravenna application portal.
    • Teacher recommendations from current Math and current English teachers - Please utilize the Teacher Recommendation Request.

    3.   Submit Standardized Test Results: Fontbonne accepts an applicant's most recent standardized tests results within one year (including HSPT, ISEE, SSAT, MCAS, MAP, PSAT, etc.)


    4.   Complete Your  Interview: All transfer applicants are required to interview with a member of the Admissions team. Schedule your interview here


    5. Submit Your Application and Forms: Please submit all requested application materials by our the deadline set with the Admissions Team.

  • International Students

    Bienvenue, ahlan wa sahlan, Wylcome! We warmly welcome international students at Fontbonne. 


    If you are not with a sponsored agency, you will need to complete this application form. You will also be required to pay a $50 application fee, which can be paid by clicking the button to the right. Please note, we are a day school only, there is no boarding option.
